Refresher Working at Heights Training

  The worker(s) in question must have completed fall protection training that met the requirements of section 26.2(1) of O. Reg. 213/91 (Construction Projects) before April 1, 2015, and the worker must be enrolled in a WAH training program.   Working at Heights training course is mandatory for all job-site construction workers who are using fall protection equipment. If you don’t have the latest WAH Certificate you will not be able to work at heights and may be subjected to a fine. As a partner of IHSA, we can provide proper Working at Heights training according to Ontario regulations. You may come to our Toronto training center located in Concord or we can come out and teach at your worksite location in Mississauga, North York, Oakville, Vaughan, Brampton, Maple, Richmond Hill, Aurora, Scarborough, Markham, and other cities inside and around the Greater Toronto Area.

Refresher Working at Heights Training Course Description

DURATION: 4 hours.   REQUIREMENTS: Valid piece of ID, hard hat, safety boots and safety glasses, prerequisite verification using this Eligibility Checker Tool.   CERTIFICATION: Working at Heights – Fundamentals of Fall Prevention   Working at Height Training is now mandatory for all construction workers in Ontario. Our Working at Heights has been approved by the Chief Prevention Officer of the Ontario Ministry of Labour and includes all aspects of fall prevention in the workplace. Unfortunately, falls are nearly the number one hazard on job sites and are the leading cause of fatalities in the construction industry. This Working at Heights course provides participants with the basic knowledge needed to work safely in work areas where there may be exposure to fall hazards. The Working at Heights course addresses safe practices and procedures as specified in Regulations empowered by the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Students are instructed on how to plan, protect and prepare themselves and their work site to identify and prevent surface falls as well as to work safely from heights within all guidelines and regulations. Our in-depth training follows the parameters of the new training standard.
