It is important to understand what the law says and means so that you know your roles and responsibilities, and how this knowledge helps you to stay safe at work. You also need to be aware of common hazards in the workplace, and what to watch out for. This training ensures that both workers and employers understand their rights and obligations under the OHSA.
Under the Occupational Health & Safety Act, companies with 6-19 employees are required to ensure their worker-selected, Health and Safety Representative receives specific training to effectively perform his/her legal duties. A trained Health and Safety Representative will make a difference in the level of safety in your workplace.
In this online training participants will learn how to exercise their considerable legal powers, including carrying out workplace inspections, identifying hazards and assessing risks. Be confident that your rep will carry out their role knowledgeably and successfully!
