The Supervisor Competency Training is introduced to give you safety, ethical and legal guidelines. The goal is to teach every supervisor the understanding of the legal liability, to prevent accidents and to ensure a better working atmosphere.

Accidents always can happen and having a competent supervisor protects the safety of all workers and visitors on site. Not only in the construction industry helping qualified supervisors reducing injuries and fatalities and every industry has its guidelines to be aware of. Not wearing the required personal safety equipment (e.g., safety shoes or hard hats) could result in injury or death also there is a legal responsibility for supervisors as well as the companies.

Course Description

Effective July 1, 2014, Ontario employers have to ensure that all workers and supervisors have completed a basic occupational health and safety awareness training program. The first of its kind in North America, the new regulation mandates basic safety awareness training for all supervisors.

Expectations placed on supervisors are high. Our Supervising competency training breaks down the responsibilities outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and explains how those responsibilities directly relate to the health and safety of the workers you supervise.
